Senior Production Test Design Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Production Test Design Engineer
We're looking for a skilled Senior Production Test Design Engineer to lead the development and implementation of production testing for IXI’s innovative products. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing test system architectures, creating interface PCBs and fixtures, and validating testers for both in-house and partner manufacturing.
You'll work closely with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and our suppliers to ensure efficient, scalable, and compliant production testing. This is a hands-on, on-site role based at our Espoo office, with occasional travel within the EU.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement production test systems (hardware and software) for IXI products.
- Develop and document test methods for various product lines.
- Build, maintain, and validate test setups, including interface PCBs and mechanical fixtures.
- Analyze test data and provide insights to optimize manufacturing KPIs.
- Support the implementation of test systems in internal and partner production facilities (travel required within the EU).
- Ensure test processes meet ISO13485 compliance for medical-grade products.
- Plan and manage investments and purchases for production testing equipment.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong experience in developing electronics test systems for embedded products (hardware + software).
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining testers in a production environment.
- Proficiency with electronics and/or mechanical CAD tools.
- Experience coding in Python and/or using NI TestStand / LabVIEW.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Minitab or WATS.
- Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ISO13485 and production test validation (preferred).
- Knowledge of optics testing is a plus.
